Rye Lions Car Show

September 21, 2025 — Beautiful restorations of classic antiques by a couple of premiere New Hampshire restorers, Competition Motors LLD and Bayberry, upheld the Rye Lions Car Show's reputation as one of the classiest of the season. Besides these restorations, there were many other exceptional automobiles and a large collection of trucks at Parsons Field in Rye, New Hampshire, hosted by the Lions Club.

I look forward to this fall show every year, not one of the largest and you'll see some of the same vehicles year after year, but there are always a few pleasant surprises. Competition Motors and Bayberry bring some examples of their work most years.

There was a good turnout this year on this perfect sunny, warm fall day. I hope you enjoy my photos of what I considered exceptional standouts in an outstanding field. You can view them at this link:

Metz Day

September 20, 2025 — Metz Day? Some of you may be wondering what that could be. The Metz was a car made by the Metz Company in Waltham, Massachusetts from 1909 to 1922. Metz Day is a small car show at the Waltham Museum featuring only Metz-built cars. There were only five of them, but I filled out the series by showing multiple detail shots of each car. A couple actually run. Also included are a few shots around the museum.

Follow this link to see some rare and unusual cars that enjoyed a mere 13 years of production:
