Atkinson Truck and Car Show

September 1, 2025 — The Atkinson Lions Club and Atkinson Fire Association Truck and Car Show, held each year on Labor Day, is not the end of summer for antique car enthusiasts. There are at least a half dozen shows left on my schedule, going to near the end of October.

But Atkinson is a popular, well-organized show, with good variety. If you go every year, you're going to find many of the same cars, but there are always a few surprises. You enter the show at Dow Common, a grass-covered area where many old Fords gather. There are more in the fire station parking lot, lining Academy Avenue, and surrounding the Atkinson Historical property. If you're new to the show, be sure to do some exploring so you won't miss anything.
